The long long range of Israeli weapons

Thanks Helga Souri for bringing this terrific infografic to my attention. The below image puts Israeli and Hamas fire power into perspective and goes some way toward disrupting the narrative I outlined yesterday about the obsession with Hamas’s dirty weapons. This is what asymmetric conflict looks like: the promise of flattening, a huge capacity to destroy and the infliction of disproportionate violence against an enemy that is forced to use improvised tactics (the ones that so easily become scripted as the tactics of terror)

It is produced by the Palestine Center of the The Jerusalem Fund, an important project (with a host of invaluable visual-media including the Edward Said Memorial Lecture Series) that I only just discovered.Image
